Chill overnight

1 lb vanilla wafers crushed

1/2 cup butter

1-1/2 cups powdered sugar sifted

2 eggs

4 cups sliced fresh peaches

1 cup whipping cream whipped

Crush vanilla wafers and put into a buttered 8 by 12 inch

pan. If desired, save some for sprinkling over the top.

Cream butter and sugar well, add eggs one at a time, mixing

thoroughly. Pour over crushed wafers, arrange peaches over the

top. Spread whipped cream over the peaches spreading to edges to

seal. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Chill overnight.

Makes 10 to 12 servings.

Tip: Strawberries can be substituted for peaches. Sprinkle

finely chopped walnuts over the top.
