GELATIN EASTER EGGS

GELATIN EASTER EGGS

Save egg shells for molds. Knock off end and shake egg out to use. Rinse
shell and save. (Use 3 dozen eggs).

4 env. unflavored gelatin
2 scant c. sugar
3 pts. milk
Colors: red, green, yellow, blue, pink

Soak gelatin in scant 2 cups cold water. Add sugar. Heat milk to lukewarm
and add. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Pour into as many bowls as you
want colors. Combine red and blue for lavender, etc. I use lemon flavoring
in all. (Mama used rose water, almond, etc.) Rinse shells and stand in empty
egg cartons. Fill shells with colored and flavored gelatin mix and
refrigerate.
Make lime Jello (2 boxes). When firm, scratch up with fork and put in glass
bowl for nest. Run "set" eggs under warm water, crack and peel off shell.
Turn upside down in nest. Will look like a nest of Easter eggs.
