This is pretty much a remake of the original movie, but better in almost every way. Superb camera trickery and energetic performance from Bruce Campbell make this superior to the original in every way.

For some reason I've seen this but not the first one.

It's a good film. Really eerie and atmospheric as old horror movies are.
