• Hey there, welcome to Talk Mental Health – a cozy corner where we're all about mental health, wellness, and just being real. This is your spot to connect with a community that gets it, where we're all on this journey together. Whether you're navigating tough times or lending a listening ear, we've got your back. No judgment, just genuine support. Step in, take a deep breath, and let's make this a space where we lift each other up. Glad you're here!
  • While Talk Mental Health offers a platform for peer support and shared experiences, it is not a substitute for professional mental health assistance. If you find yourself in genuine danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please reach out to qualified professionals. In the UK, you can contact emergency services by dialing 999. For non-emergency support, consider reaching out to organizations like Samaritans at 116 123. In the USA, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). For support in Australia, contact Lifeline at 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue at 1300 22 4636. Your well-being is our priority, and seeking professional help is a crucial step towards your mental health journey.

England Will Go Back Into Lockdown.

And also, if the government themselfs are ignoring stay at home orders, why would everyone else follow the orders?

like Cummings last time?

The sad thing is, it probably won't make a blind bit of difference. The people prolonging this pandemic (by being in denial or carrying on as normal) won't understand that they are the reason why the country is on its knees - it's not the fault of the "weak cowards who are living in fear of a fictional virus". Those people aren't going to suddenly start listening now - it'll just be the people who have been following the guidelines to the letter since March who take this lockdown seriously, most of whom weren't mixing with other people anyway. I fully expect to see comments like "lockdowns don't work" and "masks obviously don't work" from the people who didn't respect lockdown and don't wear masks, ignoring the bleeding obvious as per usual.

If everyone did their bit for just a month (ideally with closing all borders and having 2 week quarantine on entry) we could be almost out of this preventable situation - as proven by Victoria, Australia recently when they recorded 0 cases. But no, let's "learn to live with COVID" instead because boredom is simply too much to bear.

I've seen a lot of friends and family's true colours this year. I won't ever forget how those people responded to this.

I totally agree @s_still_here
I have seem many people not wearing masks or they are not wearing them properly.
I have also seen the other side to people. People are very selfish.

Agreed and the people who cry "my mental health will suffer" even when they dont have mental health problems .........

ignoring the fact of what about the mental health of the people who are dying from covid?

I don't know what the big deal is in wearing a mask washing hands or social distancing. some people refuse to follow the guidelines and that is why we have to lockdown.. Sadly lockdowns may not work sometimes it is not a cure it only saves time until we can really eliminate this deadly virus. We have come along way with meds and knowledge so we have to hang in there and follow all the guidelines
