Melt 2 squares bitter chocolate. Cream 2/3 cup butter. Add 3 cups sugar and 3 eggs. Add melted chocolate and 1 cup warm leftover mashed potatoes (seasoned

as you would for eating). Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1/2 cup buttermilk and alternately with 1 3/4 cups flour or 2 cups cake flour. Add 1 cup nuts and

1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Melt 1 stick butter and 1 bar German sweet chocolate. Add 1 pound box of powdered sugar, vanilla and a dash of salt. Beat very well and spread on cool

cake. Very good and moist.
