CHERRY BROWNIES

1 1/2 cup flour

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

2 cups cherry pie filling

powdered sugar, optional

In an electric mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt,

oil, eggs vanilla and nuts. Beat with mixer. Stir in pie filling with

a spoon or spatula. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan. Bake at 350F

for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and sprinkle with

powdered sugar, if you wish. Cut when the brownies have cooled.
