Baked Cinnamon French Toast, From Joni
Cooking spray
6 slices French bread, about 1 inch thick
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Spray a 13 by 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange bread
slices to fit in single layer in dish; sprinkle with cinnamon. (I don’t use a pan that large, so use any dish that will hold your bread slices in a single layer.)
In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, syrup, butter and vanilla just until blended. Pour
Evenly over bread. Bake immediately or cover and refrigerate several hours or
overnight. (I refrigerate mine for an hour before baking it.)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake uncovered 30 minutes or until firm to
the touch. Enjoy.
