Zero-Salt Seasoning Mix
1/4 cup sweet Hungarian paprika
2 tablespoons crushed oregano
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Mix all and store in airtight container.
SUGGESTED USES:
*Use sparingly as a seasoning in place of salt, or as heavily as a
dry rub for blackening steaks, chicken, and fish.
*Rub on the outside of roasts and turkey.
*Sprinkle on poached fish and even steamed vegetables.
*You can even add this to make flavored breadcrumbs or seasoned croutons.
*Try as a zesty "lite-weight" garlic bread, by adding a little butter
and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
