Yam and Sausage Skillet (4-5)
8 ounce package brown and serve sausage links
3 ounce package orange glavored gelatin
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon instant minced onion
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
20 oz. can yams, drained
20 1/2 0z. can pineapple chinks, drained
snipped parsley
In large skillet, brown sausage as directed on package. Remove sausage. In same skillet, combine gelatin with 1/2 cup water and next 8 ingredients. Heat, stirring constantly, till mixture is boiling. Add yams and pineapple. Reduce heat and simmer gently 15 minutes, basting often with sauce. Add sausage; continue to cook, basting frequently for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
