Watergate Salad
1 small box instant pistachio pudding
1 8/oz can crushed pineapples
1 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 8/oz cool whip
1 small jar of Maraschino Cherries drained
mix by hand the pudding and pineapples do not drain in bowl and make sure all of pudding is completely dissolved.
add the marshmallows and nuts till combined.
fold in the cool whip and cover and refrigerate overnight is best,but can be made and refrigerated for couple hours same day as planned on serving.
Just before serving add a few of the cherries to each serving or mix into the other ingrediantes.
note: can be doubled
I make this usually for Thanksgiving as my son loves it,it makes a good dish with the turkey and dressing and has a nice green color and with the cherries on top can also be served at Christmas or other times.
