MINI CHEESE TARTS From Julie

(Appetizers)

1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. diced cooked ham
1/3 c. shredded Swiss cheese
4 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled (1/4 c.)
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. milk
dash of pepper
dash of ground nutmeg

For pastry, in a small mixer bowl, beat butter or margarine and softened
cream cheese until blended. Add flour; beat well. Cover bowl; chill mixture
at least 1 hour. Shape chilled dough into twenty-four 1-inch balls; place
each ball in an ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin cup. Press dough onto bottom and
sides of cups. Chill 30 minutes. Divide ham, cheese, bacon and onion among
pastry-lined cups. Combine eggs, milk, pepper and nutmeg. Spoon about 2
teaspoons egg mix into each cup. Bake in 400 degrees oven for 18 or 20
minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Serve warm or chilled.
Makes 24 appetizers.
