Liqueur Brownies

Liqueur Brownies
4 tablespoons chocolate liqueur
6-1/2 ounces sugar
5-1/2 ounces butter
5-1/2 ounces dark bittersweet chocolate (70% cacao)
4-1/2 ounces flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
3 eggs
Combine sugar and liqueur, add eggs and beat, using a mixer. Break up
chocolate and melt with butter in the microwave oven. Add chocolate mixture
to the batter and beat again. Add sifted flour, cocoa and baking powder and
stir well to avoid lumps. Butter and flour an 8-inch square baking pan. Pour
batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Test for doneness with
a wooden pick - brownies should be a little sticky in the center.
