Herring rolls
8 cheese slices
1 salted herring fillet
1 carrot
1 onion
Coarsely grate carrot. Finely chop herring. Spread a sheet of plastic wrap
or foil on the work surface. Place cheese slices on the plastic wrap or foil
in overlapping pattern in 2 rows of 4 slices each. Layer other ingredients
on the cheese: herring, onion, carrot. Tightly roll up. Refrigerate for at
least an hour. Before serving, remove the packaging from roll. Slice roll
crosswise.
