Garlic Bread

This is a bread machine recipe but can certainly be made without one. If you are using a machine, ingredients should be added in the order listed. The first amounts are for a smaller loaf, and the amounts in parenthesis are for larger sizes.

¾ cup water (1 1/8 1 3/8)

2 tablespoons olive oil (2 tablespoons 3 tablespoons)

½ teaspoon finely mince garlic (3/4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon)

2 cups bread flour )3 cups 4 cups)

1 tablespoon sugar (2 tablespoons 3 tablespoons)

1 teaspoon salt (1 ½ teaspoons 2 teaspoons)

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (3 tablespoons ¼ cup)

½ teaspoon sweet basil (3/4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon)

½ teaspoon garlic powder (3/4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon)

1 tablespoon chives (2 tablespoons 3 tablespoons)

½ teaspoon black pepper )3/4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon)

1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast (2 teaspoons 3 teaspoons)

You can also quick rise yeast, 1 teaspoon (2 teaspoons 2 ½ teaspoons)
