Frozen Red Raspberry Margaritas
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 cups ice cubes
1 cup red raspberries
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 1/4 oz. gold tequila
1 oz. Chambord or other raspberry liqueur
1/2 oz. Cointreau or other orange liqueur
Bring water to a boil in pan. Add sugar and boil until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and let stand until cool. Mix the sugar syrup, ice cubes,
raspberries, lime juice, tequila and liqueurs in a blender. Process until
mixed, adding additional ice cubes if needed for the desired consistency.
Pour into margarita glasses. For sweet margaritas increase the Chambord to 1
1/2 oz. Makes 32 oz.
