Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Light and tender cinnamon rolls...just like you remember.
3 c. all-purpose flour
4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1-1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in shortening until crumbs form. Stir
in buttermilk until well blended; knead dough on a lightly floured
surface for 4 to 5 minutes. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness; spread
margarine over dough to edges. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon;
sprinkle over dough. Roll up jelly-roll style; cut into 1/2-inch slices.
Place on a greased baking sheet; bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12
minutes. Makes about one dozen.
