Baked Butternut Squash From Neesie

Baked Butternut Squash From Neesie

I can still smell the cinnamon baking when my mother and grandmother used to
make this recipe. I have served this yummy squash to my

husband and he loves it too. One medium butternut squash serves two, so it's
simple to double this recipe.
1 butternut squash, halved and seeds removed
2 T. butter
2 to 4 T. brown sugar, packed
2 t. cinnamon
Place squash halves cut-side down on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350
degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Turn squash halves over; top

each half with one tablespoon butter, one to 2 tablespoons brown sugar and
one teaspoon cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for an additional

30 to 40 minutes, until fork-tender. Makes 2 servings.
