Ok, what's with all of the "Report" buttons all over our profiles? It's kind of annoying. On my status posts on people's replies is a report button where it should be a reply button. I want to reply to member's comments, not report them, which I accidentally just did to one of @mist 's comments. I thought I was replying, but there is no option to reply to status comments. (Strange)

There is even a "Report" button on my profile page for me to report myself!
What is this Nazi Germany or something? 😒

You better behave or I'll report you to the authorities! 😋

Unfortunately this is just how XF does profile posts by default. You can't quote someone's profile post text since you're limited to the number of characters in a profile post, so they don't give you a "reply" link, just the box underneath comments. I agree it's a bit of a flaw in their system, but it's how they designed it :)

Yeah, too bad it wasn't designed like the TV and Movie database addon's comment section of the forum. That is very nice how you can quote and reply to comments just like in a standard forum post.

Agreed, it would make sense to offer quoting and not restrict character counts, but I believe the initial intention behind profile posts was to eventually integrate them into Twitter somehow, or utilize them as a Twitter-esque communication system. I'll have to track down the quote from the developers themselves, but they initially wanted them to be very much in tune with Twitter, so no quoting (you can quote now, of course, because Tweets have grown in size) and only the old 140 character limit (think the character limit is higher than that now, but 140 was the default, just like Twitter).

Glad you like it.
