Exposure Therapy hurts!

So I've done exposure therapy for about a year, and have felt it has been wasting my time more than anything. The thing is, I'm unwilling to put myself out there because I have Asperger's, avoidant personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder, which my previous T hasn't been able to diagnose. I have an issue with direct communication and social interactions, I feel threatened and exposed if not protected by a device when interacting with others.

Exposure therapy isn't for everyone. It can be a long and difficult process so don't feel down if you are struggling or think it's not working. Sometimes it can have the opposite effect and other methods need to be considered.

I don't know what exposure therapy is, and what kind of conditions are treated with this therapy. Can you please elaborate more on this therapeutic system and also your condition. I do not have any mental health issues but I am interested in reading on this topic.
