Anyone has SAD?

I have very bad seasonal affective disorder. I hate the heat, and yet when it’s too cold and dark outside, I’m feeling down, low and just generally depressed.

I thought SAD was social anxiety disorder. I did not realize that there is also a condition called a seasonal affective disorder. I am affected by season and weather but aren't we all affected by season to some extent.

My daughter had this when she was a teenager and her doctor recommended she get a lamp that mimics sunlight. She had to look at the lamp every morning for 15 minutes to 30 minutes. It actually helped her and until she could get outside more when spring came and the cross country team got up early to do their runs.
